The rose is the most famous and preferred flower. It symbolizes an immortal love, passion, beauty, devotion, faith and honour. The legend tells that 400 years ago in Damask a beautiful lady gives a brave young boy from a land far far away a rose as a symbol of her love for him and her dreams. The boy plants the rose in his motherland. There far away from the deserts, protected by two mountains, watered by clean streams and under the delicate touch of the Bulgarian spring, the rose acquired an astonishing smell. Every spring is studded with flowers from which the Bulgarians gain, a unique in quality, rose butter. They call it the ‘’Queen of Roses’’ and Bulgaria is famous all over the world as the Land of Roses!
