Silver coin "Great sport events-UEFA-Skilful saving", partly gold plated
The silver coin "Great sporting events - UEFA - Skilful Save" is an official UEFA product of just 10,000 copies. The coin has a 10 € Silver in Proof quality denomination and is made with exceptional technical innovation - a gilded silver ball inserted through the blank.
The obverse depicts a goalkeeper doing a save. The ball he catches is a gilded silver ball inserted through the blank during the strike. The competition's logo fits in the center of the coin. The reverse shows on the first plan a stylised football field using triumph arches as goals. The face value is inscribed using the gilded silver ball as the 0.
The UEFA European Football Championship is held every 4 years since 1960. This is the second coin created for Euro 2016. The maxim says "A good goalkeeper is half a team." The goalkeeper is the one who inspires confidence and settles the team, provokes respect in the opponent.
